Production Operator

The opportunity: 

Join Lakeland Agri's production team at Lough Egish and play a key role in ensuring high-quality feed products are efficiently packed, stored and dispatched to customers. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of plant operations, including bagging, palletising, forklift operation and stock control, while contributing to a culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement.

 

What does success look like?

• Safely and efficiently operate the bagging plant, palletiser and associated equipment to achieve production targets.
• Ensure bagged feed products are packed, labelled and stored accurately to meet quality and customer standards.
• Operate forklifts safely and effectively to support production and dispatch activities.
• Load and unload lorries in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels of packaging materials and consumables to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Complete all required production, quality and compliance records accurately.
• Support UFAS, HACCP and food safety requirements through adherence to established procedures.
• Take, label and store product samples correctly in line with quality standards.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring the work area remains audit-ready at all times.
• Contribute to waste reduction and recycling initiatives across the site.
• Assist with equipment upkeep by identifying issues and supporting routine servicing and calibration activities.
• Support colleagues through knowledge sharing, training and providing cover for the Bagging Chargehand when required.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Take ownership of personal development and actively participate in training and learning opportunities.
• Work collaboratively as part of the wider Lakeland Agri team to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What you will need to succeed:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, agricultural or warehouse environment is desirable.
• Forklift operating experience or certification would be advantageous.
• A strong commitment to health, safety, quality and hygiene standards.
• The ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently while following established procedures.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to support team members and undertake training and development opportunities.
• The ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and contribute to achieving operational targets
