Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. The business is complex and ambitious with a milk supply pool of 2 billion litres of milk, drawn from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties.

 

The opportunity: 

Lakeland Dairies is seeking a professional and organised Site Administrator & Receptionist to join our Bailieborough site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy front-of-house environment and takes pride in providing a welcoming, efficient and professional service to visitors, customers and colleagues.

As the main Site Administrator & Receptionist, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the site, managing reception, coordinating visitor procedures and providing administrative support across the business.

 

Principal Responsibilites (Not limited to)

  • Administration support to the Head of Site Operations.
  • Attend weekly operations meetings and manage follow up actions.
  • Manage recording of annual leave and clock cards.
  • Organising of travel and accommodation requirements.
  • To manage the reception area.
  • Operate telephone system, answer and transfer calls, take messages and pass them on.
  • Welcoming visitors and customers.
  • Ensure that all visitors are properly signed in and have met necessary health and safety requirements to be on the site, particular to their purpose.
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing post.

 

Key Competencies

  • Communication & Telephone Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner. Ability to manage incoming calls efficiently, transfer calls appropriately and take accurate messages.
  • Organisation & Attention to Detail – Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise workloads and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration – Works effectively as part of a team, building positive working relationships across departments to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.
 

What you will need to succeed:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, front-of-house, customer service or administrative role is essential.
  • Experience handling telephone systems and visitor management processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and administrative systems.
