About the Role

As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for microbiological sampling, testing, analysis, and recording of results throughout the production process. Your work will help ensure our products meet legal, company, and customer standards. You’ll also support internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare media and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct microbiological analysis of powder, butter, cream, and environmental samples.
  • Prepare and dispatch samples for pathogen testing; manage requisitions via SAP.
  • Perform daily water analysis and environmental monitoring.
  • Calibrate and verify product test equipment.
  • Conduct QC checks and shelf-life analysis.
  • Maintain and develop LIMS (Micro) systems.
  • Participate in proficiency testing and method validation.
  • Support internal audits and regulatory/customer audit preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with GLP, health & safety, and data protection policies.
  • Maintain a clean, audit-ready work environment.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development.

What We’re Looking For

  • A third-level qualification in a science-related field is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience with SAP and LIMS is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
