The opportunity:

As a Drying Operator based in our Bailieborough facility, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the evaporation and spray drying plants, ensuring high-quality dairy powder products are produced to specification. Working as part of a 24/7 operation, you will monitor plant performance, maintain food safety and quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the production process.
 

What does success look like?

  • Operate evaporators and spray dryers in accordance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Liaise with laboratory personnel to ensure powder products meet required specifications.
  • Monitor and control all relevant CCPs and OPRPs, taking immediate corrective action when required.
  • Ensure plant equipment operates safely, efficiently, and to optimum performance levels.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and operational initiatives.Maintain compliance with food safety standards, customer requirements, and quality procedures.
  • Participate in training and development activities as required.
  • Travel to and support similar operations at other sites when necessary.
  • Work agreed shift patterns as part of a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and audit-ready work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Data Protection policies and legislation.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements and promote safe working practices.
  • Take ownership of personal development and performance improvement by completing relevant learning and development activites.
